In addition to our long list of holidays, September 7 and 21, 2009 were also declared by PGMA as non-working holidays.
September 7, 2009 marks the burial of INC leader Erano "Ka Erdy" Manalo. This is a special non-working holiday so workers who will be reporting for work on this day gain additional 30% on top of their salaries. The principle of no work, no pay applies for this kind of holiday.
On September 21, our Muslim brothers will be celebrating Eid'l Fitr, or the end of holy month of fasting, Ramadan. Eid'l Fitr completes the list of 11 regular holidays. For details, you may click on this link.
Copy of the proclamation regarding these two holidays will be posted here soon!
