Chronicle of a First Timer DFAT Participant

March 14, 2009 was a red letter day for the SOCSKSARGEN Bloggers, especially to the author, because we were invited to join the Food Appreciation Tour in Davao City.

Excitement and more of it ruled during the exciting tour.

3:00 A.M. - Author woke up, took a bath hurriedly, sipped coffee and was delivered by hubby in one piece at the bloggers meeting place beside the City Hall.

4:00 A.M. -I saw Bariles, Ms. Gensan and the beautiful daughter of our Mayor, Honey waiting for other bloggers to come. A little past four a.m. came Cidy, Tammy, Rose and hubby, Jonel. The group then headed for Leonard Pe's abode to pick him up and we proceeded to Lagao to see the lovable duo, Kiyawster and Sheng, waiting for us. Finally, with Tatay Saling on the helm, the group started the beautiful and exciting journey for the DFAT.

Our first stop was at Tubac Overview in Baluyan wherein we had breakfast of plain rice and tinolang native na manok.

We then proceeded with our journey.

8:00 A.M. We reached our destination and we met up with some Davao bloggers at a Mcdonald outlet before we proceeded to the Outland Adventure ( see my post about this here )

11:30 A.M. Socsksargen bloggers together with Chiq Montes of CDO, Davao's Migs, Brendel and Lyle were treated to a sumptous lunch at Davao's Rancheros Grill . My daughter, raffee, a Davao stude, joined us here and on towards later activities.

1:30 P.M. The group then went to a coffee shop named Kasagingan. There, we huddled, plurked, surfed the net and enjoyed coffee and some pastries/bananas cooked and prepared in one hundred and one ways.

4:00 P.M. We went to the Davao Crocodile Farm. (watch out for my post about this thrilling encounter with real crocs)
5:30 P.M. The very gracious Migs offered his place at Belisario Heights for the Socsksargen bloggers to freshen up. Thank You, Migs, 'twas so nice of you!
6:30 P.M. Yummy dinner was served by Ram's Resto for the group. (another post about this, coming up soon!)
8:00 P.M. The group proceeded to Matina Town Square and hied off at Blu Gre for a nightcap. Bonding time once again over cups of coffee.
12:00 MN Socksargen bloggers decided to call it a day! We started our travel going back to Gensan with beautiful and exciting memories of the DFAT and of course, with heavier weights!
2:00 A.M. We're back to where we came from! The bloggers to their homes sweet homes and me, in one piece again, to my hubby and home sweet home!
MADAMO GID NA SALAMAT, DAVAO!
