My youngest child, Jasmine, turned 6 last Saturday. It was one momentous event for my baby because it was her first ever birthday celebration in our new home :-D. We prepared and served simple meals for her friends at our home's side yard garden.

My older kids and their cousin - they were the ones who helped me out in preparing the food to be served :-D (they are really of big help, promise :-D)

the celebrant and her friends with my string beans as background :-D

Happy birthday, baby Jasmine!

Special Non-Working Holidays

October 31, 2011, by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 265, has been declared as special non-working holiday in the country. This brings to two successive non-working holidays (Oct. 31 and Nov. 1) in two weeks time for all of us :-D.

Work performed on these two days merits additional 30% on the wage. No work, no pay applies.

Of Safety, Health and Materials Testing

We are now living in a highly globalized society. The world is borderless. Everything comes in an instant. Even karma, this is according to my favorite character of a tv drama I watch regularly.

Development is here because of globalization. Everywhere you look, high rise structures are sprouting. There is an emergence of all sorts of businesses.

What worries me is the thought that with this trend now, wherein everything is globalized, accidents are still prevalent everywhere. Be it in the road, construction sites, inside the malls or even inside your own homes.

We are talking of development and yet the issue on safety and health seemed not a talking point with what is happening right now. I think that to address this problem, materials testing must be imposed.

This is just a humble opinion but I know it has weight.

I'm a Proud Mom of Two Debutants

Barely a year had passed but we already have two debutants in the family. Yes, Mama Mia, am getting older :-D . . .

Rafee and Tina are no longer babies, they are now ladies!

two young girls then with their best friend Mich

they are now young ladies soaring high as they conquer new heights . . .

beloved ates to their siblings . . .
obedient daughters to me and my hubby . . .
responsible members of our community . . .

My young ladies, you may now spread your wings but don't ever forget to look back behind where we all came from.

You are my babies and for always, we'll be loving and taking care of you!
